Chance Brignac was born June 1975 in Lutcher, Louisiana. Growing up in a small community he gained talent and interest in the arts from his parents and grandparents. Upon graduation he moved to New Orleans to attend college and study Commercial Art. In Spring 1994, he began his retail career as a Visual Lead for Gap, Inc. and this was where he realized his natural abilities for Visual Merchandising. Chance has worked for many large retailers for the past 12 years and has gained lots of knowledge in retail operations and management. He has also worked in smaller company environments and this has allowed him to understand and develop successful business stategies both on a small and large scale.

Chance began his career with Shine Spa + Specialties in July 2004. He saw an interest in the Spa Industry and began working on visual merchandising, marketing projects, and assisting the owners with buying decisions to promote this one-of-a-kind concept in the French Quarter. In November 2004, he assisted with the opening of a second spa location in the historic Hotel Monteleone. Chance enjoys the creative process that makes a spa environment unique and he brings his insight and enthusiasm into every project. He works hand-in-hand with the owners to create a fun, hip, colorful and aromatic environment like no other. When Shine re-opened in its new location in April 2005, Chance assumed the position as the Store Manager. This allowed him to take a more active role in every process involved with the operation of both spas and build a lasting relationship with Cindy and Sandy the spa owners. Chance looks forward to one day becoming a partner in the business as they continue to grow and expand throughout the city.

Chance is all about work, and if you ask any of his friends about him, this is the one thing that they will all have in common to say about his work ethic. He usually is occupied with helping out one of the spa locations or working part-time to assist friends at other businesses throughout the city. Truly a trait of being a people person and this is what has allowed him to be successful throughout his career. Besides his work life he also enjoys spending times with friends, meeting new people and enjoying the sites and sounds of New Orleans. He also keeps himself busy with the ongoing creative processes of being the Manager of Shine Spa + Specialties. Chance knows that the hard work and dedication he puts into the company will help the two spa locations to grow and prosper and he looks forward to the great things that are in his future here in New Orleans.
